I don't think using a Google Adwords campaign is a good idea, because this page you're about to promote, has no links ON PURPOSE. The idea is to keep the visitor inside and not get distracted by menus and options which Adwords wants you to have. I'm not an Adwords expert, that's just my personal opinion to help you save money and head aches.

If you still decide to work with AdWords campaigns,I'm giving you 2 free videos that you can use as a 'give away' gift, in case you want to create a landing page and build your own list before sending the visitor to the main sales page. I recommend using the option of exact match or add the word FREE to the list of negativewords. So that when a 13 year old (who probably does not have a credit card) writes the phrase free guitar lessons for beginners Google does not show your ad with your keyword ´guitar lessons for beginners´. The person who included ´free´ in the keyword phrase is probably NOT interested in buying and you will be saving the cost of that click.

Now, a great way to advertise could be using FACEBOOK. You can set the ad to appear only to people with certain characteristics, for example: age,gender,country, education,etc. In addition, Facebook does not punish you for sending traffic to a sales letter or email capture page YET. I use the closest facebook cost per click suggestion I can afford, just to get the ad approved, then I gradually take the bid down until it gets to a really low cost, but still gets me impressions, sometimes even 0,15 cents per click, but the cost will depend on your country.

I've always heared rumors about Google closing your AdWords account for good, if you send traffic to a page that has no links, menus and is just a sales letter. Or may charge you a higher cost per click, as punishment. I don't know if it's more efficient though.

The GUITARSIMPLE's page that you are promoting, has no banners, links to other websites or menus ON PURPOSE , to help you, so the visitor doesn't have distractions for clicking away. Articles must be managed carefully. It is not simply copy and paste because Google can slap you for duplicate content. You must make a small effort to change some words by using synonyms.For example change the word 'method ¨ by 'course ¨, 'lessons' etc. Or change a paragraph saying the same thing with another sentence without altering the content or meaning. The site dictionary.com is very usefull. When you write a word, it shows in the column on the left, a group of synonyms for that word. I know it's an effort, but it ensures that your work will not be in vain. Furthermore, it is not necessary to change the entire article but to make subtle changes. Should I learn with acoustic or electric guitar?

You can use either. The difference is basically the type of string. The normal acoustic guitar uses nylon strings, which are easier on the fingers of who's learning.Electric guitar uses steel strings and come in different thick sizes, so that very thick metal strings can cause you some pain if you're just starting.

Nylon strings are standard, so they will be found on any regular acoustic guitar. Fancy more expensive nylon strings can be found if want to spend more money.

Steel strings, as I mentioned earlier, come in various sizes. The thicker, the more painful to the touch as fingers slowly become accustomed. Getting used can take weeks or months. Depends on how often you practice.

However, if you have a thin type strings for your electric guitar, you probably will not have pain even if you are a beginner.
When you buy an electric guitar, ask the clerk how thick the strings are.

Strings are relevant to the first guitar you buy because the sound is too different .

Measures for electric guitar steel strings:

1st string = 0.08 too thin , no finger pain. Might get weak by corrosion and snap too soon though.

1st string = 0.09 medium, some finger pain at the beginning.

1st string = 0.10 hard, will probably cause some finger pain after a few minutes of practice.

1st string = 0.12 GET A DOCTOR !!!

Some acoustic guitars come with steel strings too, usually called electro-acoustic (which can be connected to a and an amplifier through a cable). And almost always come with thick string types. But the sacrifice is worth it if you're a person of decision. If you are someone who always complain saying ¨ I can't ¨, you should definitely lean on acoustic guitar (the normal wood.)

Choose your guitar according to the type of music you will like to learn.

If you like ballads, chords and accompaniment to sing, a regular classical acoustic guitar is ok.

If you like hard rock, you'll need an electric one. And if you like all music in general, it is better to make the sacrifice to learn with an electro-acoustic, because there you can play both ballads and rock, pop, alternative, country, blues, Latin rock, and so on. The advantage of electro-acoustic is that steel strings have a very strong and bright sound. Nylon acoustic strings give a warmer and smooth sound.

This is the most common electric guitar type strings: 0.10

This refers to the thickness of the first string (the guitar has 6 strings of different thickness each). So when you buy a set of strings and ask for 0.10, is understood that you want a set where the measure of the first string is 0.10.

Tip: using 0.10 strings on electric guitar is very painful if you like to play solos and scales. You can perfectly use 0.09 or 0.08 if your fingers are very delicate. The only disadvantage of using 0.08 is that the first string is so thin, you run the risk of rupture more often, so it would be a good idea to buy a replacement of the first string along with the full set.

You can change the strings of your guitar to other electro-acoustic measure, if you had a lot of pain on your fingers.

The downside of changing the size of the strings to a different one from which the guitar originally came with, is that you lose the calibration IF... the guitar was calibrated when you bought it which is not probably the case.This does vary the tuning a little and the adjustment of the arm a bit, but is only noticeable if you're a professional musician or with great musical ear talent.

The acoustic guitar uses standard nylon strings and buying new ones will present different prices and brands related to quality but not in different sizes, therefore, does not affect the· Calibration ¨ factor.

Beginner Guitar Lessons

Starting from zero is slightly different now that we have tons of free lessons on the web. But… this is creating a generation of confused people.

I’m a guitar teacher. I teach private lessons and some of my students learn most of the stuff by seeing youtube videos or free videos they find on the Internet. The problem is that some of those videos were posted by amateur guitar players, because we, teachers, need to charge at least something for our services in order to pay our bills.

These zillion free lessons are totally unorganized, so, after learning from these 3 minute “how to play a trick” videos, people end up, playing the intro of a specific song, the solo of a specific song, the chords of the “chorus” part of a song, the trick on the “beat it” guitar solo but, most of the time they do not gain any VALUABLE knowledge that would put them in a path of progress.

Most of my students, for example, come to me with videos of the songs they want to play after they tried to play it on their own but couldn’t figure it out… OF COURSE ! how are they going to figure it out if they don’t know anything about how music is built ?

My point is… If you are a beginner, YOU NEED PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE and THEN… you can have a blast with free lessons and “how to do tricks” videos.

2 Brothers

As a guitar teacher for many years, I have had very talented people to teach and people with little ability to play guitar, but may have a good ear for music.

Once a mother called me and hired me to teach her two teenage sons.

I give private lessons and I prefer working individually with each person, however I took this double class together beacuse this lady told me they were of a similar age.

When I met them, I discovered what the lady had not told me. The younger brother, aged 14, suffered from a kind of cerebral paralisys, so that all his movements were slow and it was hard for him even to talk.

The older brother, 17, was normal..

I said to myself: ¨ God ... I will not be able to teach the younger brother! What do I do? ... How do I tell his mom ?

I did not have the courage to say anything to avoid offending anyone and started classes regularly as I do with any other students.

After a few months, the younger brother taught me that he had more courage than me, because I had given up when I met him and he never gave up and practiced every day.

Every week when I came to teach class, the younger brother had moved on and played guitar better than the previous week.

Of course, the older brother who did not suffer of any illness at all, learned faster and could paly the hardest things more smoothly. But the younger brother was also able to play, albeit with difficulty, as the elder brother. Despite having a degree of cerebral paralysis.

Life Lesson:

If you think you can not do something ... You can't ! But just because your mind told you you couldn't.

If you think you can do something ... you will! Because your mind is programmed to do so, despite any obstacle.

That's why I laugh when NORMAL people say they would like to learn to play guitar but can not because they have no musical skills.

I thank that brave student who taught me that the limitations are only in your mind.
