My name is Alvaro Avila. I’m a guitar teacher. A few years ago, I decided to record my guitar lessons on video and post them on the Internet. My guitar lessons are especially targeted for BEGINNERS. Mostly because people find tons of unorganized free lessons on the web, some of them posted by amateur players. If you are not a beginner, you can see the difference between good and bad, but if you are a beginner, you need some basic guidance.
Let’s see… it takes me about 20 hours to record and edit ONE 20 minute video guitar lesson, applying all my knowledge and experience of 20 years teaching how to play guitar. How much time and planning do you think, a youtuber kid invested, in posting a 4 minute “how to do a trick” video ?… It’s cool, I’ll give you that, but it won’t take you far if you don’t know the basics.
